Camiş Egypt Mining Co. was established in 1998 to carry out glass sand, glass raw materials production, purchasing and marketing activities.

Headquarter of company is in Cairo. The company has Yiallag Quartz Sand Processing Plant and its open pit mining in North Sinai, Zafarona Region Quartz Sand Open Pit, El-Arish Borosilicate Sand Manufacturing Plant, Sheet glass sand processing plant and glassware sand processing line, El-Arish Port stockyard, loading units and quality control laboratory.

Camiş Egypt Mining Co.’s kept investments of the following since 1999 were completed and had been put into service.

• El- Arish Yiallag Open pit
• El- Arish Yiallag Duzcam Sand Processing Plant (220.000 ton/year)
• El- Arish Sheet Glass and Glassware Sand Processing Plant (130.000 ton/year)
• Borosilicate Sand Processing and Packing Plant (30.000 ton/year)
• El- Arish Sand Stocking Units
• El- Arish Port Stockyard and Loading Units
• El- Arish Quality Control Laboratory
• Zafarana Quartz Sand Open Pit

Yiallag Sheet Glass Sand Processing Plant at the 1999, Borosilicate Processing Plant at the 2004, El-Arish Sheet Glass Sand Processing Plant’s first line at the 2006 and second line had put into service when it was completed in 2007.

Camiş Egypt Mining Co. has total 350.000 ton/year Sheet Glass and Glassware together with 30.000 ton/year producing capacity with bagged borosilicate.

Zafara Quartz Sand Opet Pit had gone into operation for producing of a certain glass quality material with glassware sand in 2007. Therefore planning to set up sand processing plants for producing at Zafara in the 2008.

The company has totally 20 employees with the inclusion of 2 Turkish and 18 Egyptian.
