Camiş Egypt Mining Co. was established in Egypt in 1998. The main purposes of the establishment are producing, marketing glass sand, glass raw materials and also meeting the raw materials demand of Sisecam Group. Camiş Madencilik A.Ş. holds 99.7% of the shares of the company.

Registered office of Camiş Mining Egypt Co. is in Cairo and the company has the following facilities;

Yiallag Silica Sand Quarry and Processing Plant in northern Sinai, Silica Sand Quarry in Zafarana, Borosilicate - Flat glass and Glassware Sand Processing Plants in El-Arish, Sand storage area and ship loading units in El-Arish Port and Quality Control Laboratory in El-Arish.

Camiş Mining Egypt Co. has installed and commissioned in the below-mentioned facilities with the investments made since 1999.

• El-Arish Yiallag Silica Sand Quarry
• El-Arish Yiallag Flat Glass Sand Processing Plant (220,000 tpa)
• El-Arish Flat Glass Sand and Glassware Sand Processing Plant (130,000 tpa)
• Borosilicate Sand Processing and Packaging Plant (30,000 tpa)
• El-Arish Silica Sand Storage Unit
• El-Arish Port Storage Area and Ship Loading Unit
• El-Arish Quality Control Laboratory
• Zafarana Silica Sand Quarry

Yiallag Flat Glass Sand Processing Plant was installed and commissioned in 1999, Borosilicate sand processing plant in 2004, the first line of El-Arish Flat Glass Sand Processing Plant in 2006; and the second line of El-Arish Flat Glass Sand Processing Plant in 2007.

Camiş Mining Egypt Co. has in total 350,000 tpa flat glass and glassware sand production capacity and moreover 30,000 tpa bagged borosilicate sand.

Zafarana Silica Sand Quarry started to be mined in 2007 with the aim of producing glassware sand and high-grade silica sand.

The company has in total 20 employees 2 of them is Turk and the rest 18 employees are Egyptian.
